6:30 AM: Laura gets up for skool. Remembers snow forcast for last night.
7:00 AM: Laura, not wanting to get her hopes up that skool's been cancelled, doesn't look out the window and goes to get dressed.
7:15 AM: Laura walks into living room, sees mom looking at weather radar on T.V. Laura glances out window, sees snow. Laura gets hopes up.
7:20 AM: Laura sees that Rockwood has not cancelled skool. Laura gathers her books, makes her lunch, and gets a cup of coffee.
7:40 AM: Laura and Mom walk outside, slip on the pavement several times, make it to the van. Start van, try to back up hilly driveway.
7:50 AM: Still trying to back up hilly driveway.
8:00 AM: Still trying to back up hilly driveway.
8:01 AM: Switch from van to car.
8:10 AM: Still trying to back up hilly driveway.
8:15 AM: Laura wakes up brother, tells him to help her push the car up to the road.
8:20 AM: Skool starts.
8:30 AM: Laura and brother are still pushing car up driveway.
8:40 AM: Laura and brother successfully push car onto road.
8:55 AM: Laura arrives at skool, only to see the parking lot 3/4 empty.
9:00 AM: Laura finds out 1/4 the kids either got into car accidents, drove their cars into ditches, or decided not to go to skool because they couldn't get their cars up their driveways.
Sometime during the day: Laura's brother drove car into woods.
3:19 PM: Laura arrives home. Finds out about car accident.
3:30 PM: Laura still banging head against wall.
8:30 PM: Laura still banging head against wall.
