*takes a deep breath* AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, had to get that out of my system.

I am SO freaking tired with the daily crap from our customers. The most recent POC, specifically, is the sale coupons.

Alright. Let's see if it's our system which is the problem, or it's the local yokels that come into our store. Because if everyone who reads this can understand it, then it's our customers.

You walk into the store. You start to walk down the first aisle, and find yourself in a booth that has a sale. The sign in the booth reads "SALE!! 20% off Everything in Booth 216, with coupon only". Beneath the sign is a basket full of coupons. The coupons say, "Booth 216 Sale! 20% off Everything." What do you do?

A) Grab a coupon and put it with your item from booth 216, happy that you were able to chance upon an item that you wanted on sale.
B) Take an item from booth 216 and not grab a coupon, but ignorantly assume that all employees know the setup of the mall by heart and know that booth 216 has a sale going on.
C) Go up to the counter and whine, "What's the deal with the coupons? I don't get it- I didn't see any coupons in the booths!!"

......*waits for you to choose*

If you chose A, thank you. It's customers like you that I enjoy taking care of.

If you chose B or C, do yourself a favor and don't come into the mall.

I swear...people will come up and say, "What's the deal with the coupons?? I didn't see any in the booth." And I'll walk back there, thinking that the dealer ran out of coupons. But NO!!! I look to the sign, then to the place where they have the coupons, and I'll see that the whole damn basket/bowl/dish is FULL of coupons!!! People just don't want to inconvenience themselves for 5 seconds and look for the coupons. It's not like the dealers HIDE them. They have them in plain view, because they WANT customers to see them. It means more people will come into their booth to shop, since they have a sale. But people are just ignorant and can't bother to look for the coupons themselves. No, they have to inconvenience ME to go look for them, when I could be using my time for a more valuable service. Another phrase we get a lot is from booth 252's sign. It reads, "SALE! Booth 252- 20% off Everything. Present coupon at desk." We have people come up and say, "The sign said you had coupons at the front desk." Oh. Well, my mistake. I thought the sign said to PRESENT ONE AT THE DESK!!! X( Grrrness. So I spent about 20 minutes of my time today making big, colorful coupon signs. They say, "COUPONS HERE!!!" and have little arrows pointing down. I went halfway through the mall, either taping these little signs to the big Sale signs or placing them near the big signs, and putting the coupons directly below them. I think it might help a little, but, as I've learned, people are idiots. When they come up to the desk with no coupons, they say, "Oh, well, I couldn't find a coupon. Can you give me the discount anyway?" Then they get pissed because we can't. We don't have a happy magic list that tells us all of the discounts in the mall. That's why we require every dealer to put "With coupon" on their sale signs.

Merf...I'm so miffed right now I'm about to cry. I'm going to go find my mom, cos I need a hug. =(
