DAMMIT!! My dad left the damn basement door open AGAIN!!!! Thank God Sessho or Skits didn't get out this time!! Though Sessho was sleeping on the chair like 15 feet away from the door...so it's a damn good thing he didn't notice that the door was open.
I went to Wal-Mart and purchased a double cylinder deadbolt lock and a pack of door alarms (the kind that are magnetized and sound off when the door is opened). In total, these items cost me over $20. The deadbolt would prevent ANYONE from using the door, as a double cylinder lock is the kind that requires a key on both sides. So, if I deny my dad a key, then he's SOL on using that door. Serves him right, too. If he's not got the brains to shut a damn door, then he needs to go out the upstairs porch door, where there's at least a screen door that closes itself.
I know I'm being neurotic about this, but these cats are my LIFE, here!! He apparently doesn't give a rat's ass about them, but the rest of the family does. And he can't get it through his empty head that doing this shit affects everyone except him. Well, fuck that. His inconveniences mean absolutely NOTHING to me anymore. Come winter, if he has to haul a sled around the house and bring in firewood through the front door, so be it. Cos I'm fucking tired at putting my cats at risk because he's a damn moron. He's had three strikes. He's fucking OUT. ~_~
